How to disable SMBv1 in Windows 7,8,10 to prevent against WannaCry attacks

Windows 7 and Windows 8

Click Start (Windows)
Select Search programs and files (or Windows + X for Windows 8).
Type regedit and press Enter.
Select Yes.
Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ services \ LanmanServer \ Parameters.
From the Edit menu, select New, DWORD value.
Enter a name of SMB1 and press Enter.
Double-click the new value and set to 0 to disable SMB (Set to 1 to enable).
Reboot the machine.

Windows 8.1 and Windows 10

Search programs and files (Search click Settings)
Type Windows features
Click Turn Windows features on or off
Find SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support and uncheck (disable SMB)
Select Ok
Reboot the machine.
